What is Urbana?

Urbana is a five day global missions conference in St. Louis, Missouri that takes place every three years. Over 16,000 college students from all over the world participate in the conference and consider what God may have in store for them after school!

The theme of the conference this year was "What will your story tell?". Throughout the conference we were challenged to live a life that tells the story of Jesus- His worthiness, His love, and His promises to name a few! During the five days we had a variety of speakers present to us. Some were church planters, others were activists, some were professors, and others missionaries.

If I was to tell you how Urbana was in the briefest of snapshots: I would say it gave me new joy about the good news and a new desire to share it with others, Urbana allowed me to more fully realize the beauty of diversity particularly through worship in many different languages, and Urbana gave me a more clear picture of God's heart for the world and how I can work with that in mind and for His mission. It was wonderful!
